SBI PO EXAM PATTERN FOR MAINS

Candidates passing the prelims exam are eligible for the mains exam.The prospectus for SBI PO Mains is similar to the IBPS PO Exam. There is just a slight change in the Mains Section with an additional two segments – General and Banking Awareness and a Descriptive Test (Group Discussion & Interview).

The GD and PI have a total score of 50 marks. It examines the composing abilities of candidates through Letter Writing and Essay Writing.

Features of SBI PO Mains Exam

  • The Mains paper will have four areas with an aggregate of 200 marks.
  • The duration of the SBI PO Mains Exam will be 3 hours.
  • There will be a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
  • The GD and PI of 50 marks are mandatory to endeavor.

SBI PO Syllabus: Group Exercise and Interview

It is the last phase of the SBI PO exam. Candidates who meet all requirements for the initial two stages of the SBI PO test. The Group Discussion carries 20 marks, and the Interview is for 30.

  • The total of both the Objective Tests and Descriptive Tests will make the final merit of the candidates.
  • Candidates under the OBC category have to submit an OBC certificate certifying the ‘Non-Creamy Layer’ clause on qualifying for the Group Exercises and Interviews.
  • The chosen candidates in every class will be called for Group Exercises and interviews.
  • The qualifying marks in Group Discussions and Interviews will be as settled by the Bank.
  • The ratio of marks considered for mains and interview marks is 75:25. Students must not take this lightly.
