UPSC POSTS LIST

UPSC posts are divided into three categories-

We will talk about the given UPSC post one by one.

All the UPSC posts for which the UPSC Exam is conducted are highly reputed and desirable, be it the All India Services, Group ‘A’ or Group ‘B’ posts.

All India Services

Out of the 24 civil services, the most popular one is All India Services. It has three branches-

IAS is the permanent arm of the Indian government responsible for formulating and implementing government policies, functioning as Chief Development Officer (CDO) /District Development Commissioner, Collection of revenue and functioning as Courts in revenue matters, functioning as Executive Magistrate, and maintenance of law and order. The IAS probationers begin their training at LBSNAA, Mussoorie.

Another arm of the Indian government is IFS which deals with external affairs of the country, including trade, cultural relations, and diplomacy.IFS represents India in its embassies, protecting national interests, promoting friendship, and negotiating on several different issues.

IPS is another branch of the three All India Services responsible for maintaining peace and order, providing security to VIPs, managing crises, implementing the laws at the regional level, etc.

The training of an IPS officer takes place at  Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad. IPS officers occupy senior positions in Police service.
