Selection Procedure of IBPS PO Exam 2024

There are three stages in IBPS PO 2024 exam selection procedure. Candidates have to qualify every round to make their name to the final merit. Here are the three stages of the selection –

Stage1- IBPS Prelims Exam 2024

The first stage in the selection procedure is the IBPS PO mains exam. It is a qualifying exam. Therefore, candidates have to clear the exam to appear in the next one.

Stage2- IBPS Mains exam 2024

After qualifying for the prelims exam 2024, candidates will not sit for the Mains exam. This exam is the core of the recruitment process and requires you to score good marks. The marks obtained in the main exam will add up to the final list.

Stage 3- Interview 

The last stage is a personal interview where the candidate will face the officials/selectors and answer their questions. They can ask questions related to your personality, profile, academics, general awareness, etc.

IBPS 2024 Mains exam pattern 

  • The IBPS main exam 2024 will be online.
  • The exam has five sections -English Language, Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness, Data Analysis and Interpretation, and English Language (Descriptive).
  • The questions in the four sections are objective type, and the fifth section (English Language) is descriptive.
  • The time to solve the paper is 3 hours and 30 minutes, out of which, 3 hours are for the objective part (separately timed for each section) and 30 minutes for the descriptive part.
  • The English section and descriptive section is only in English, whereas the other are in English or Hindi.
  • The total mark for the IBPS mains 2024 exam is 200.
  • 0.25 of marks allotted to the question is deducted for each wrong answer in the objective exams.
