Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a national exam that takes place twice a year for aspirants who want to secure a teaching job in the government sector.
This is the 16th Edition of the CTET Exam for examining the candidates for their teaching eligibility. The exam is in online mode and conducted by CBSE.
All interested applicants who wish to pursue their career in the teaching sector for primary and upper primary classes have to qualify CTET exam. Depending on your score, you can apply for various positions in government and government-aided schools.

CTET exam determines the eligibility of candidates for teacher posts for classes 1st to 8th Central Government Schools such as NVS/KVS and other Schools etc.
Previously, CTET used to take place offline, but since last year CBSE has decided to conduct the exam online.

CTET 2024 Exam Pattern
CTET 202 exams will take place in two phases- Paper -1 and paper -2.
Paper -1 is for all these candidates who want to become a teacher for classes 1 to 5, whereas paper- 2 is for the candidates to become teachers for classes 6 to 8.
Candidates can apply for both paper 1 and paper -2. The questions asked in both exams are multiple-choice questions. A candidate has to secure at least 60% to qualify CTET 2022 exam.

CTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification for Classes 1-5
Any candidate who has completed their Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with a minimum of 50% marks and cleared or appeared in the final year examination of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration) is eligible for the exam.
OR
Any candidate who has completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with a minimum of 45% marks and has cleared or appeared in the final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration), according to the NCTE Regulations 2002, is eligible for the exam.
OR
Any candidate who has completed Senior Secondary with a minimum of 50% marks and has cleared or appeared in the final year exam of Bachelor of Elementary Education (4 years duration) is eligible for the exam.
OR
Any candidate who has completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with a minimum of 50% marks and has cleared or appeared in the final year exam of Diploma in Education (2 years duration) is eligible for the exam.
OR
Candidate with a bachelor’s degree and has cleared or appeared in the final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration) is eligible for the exam.
Educational Qualification for Classes 6-8
Any candidate who has a graduation degree and has passed or is appearing in the final year examination of a Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration) is eligible for the exam.
OR
Candidate with a Graduation degree with 50% marks and has cleared or appeared in the final year of a Bachelor in Education is eligible for the exam.
OR
Any candidate who has completed their Graduation degree with 40% marks and has cleared or appeared in the final year exam of Bachelor in Education is eligible for the exam.
OR
Any candidate who has completed Senior Secondary with a minimum of 50% marks and has cleared or appeared in the final year exam of 4 years of Bachelor of Elementary Education iseligible for the exam.
OR
A candidate who has completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with 50% marks and cleared or appearing in the final year exam of B.A.Ed./B.S.Eds. or B.A/B.S.Eds. is eligible for the exam.
OR
Candidate with a Graduation degree with 50% marks and has cleared or appeared in a B.Ed. program of 1 year is eligible for the exam.
